Governance
The Institute of Business Consulting is an organisation within the Chartered Management Institute. There are direct governance links between the two Institutes. This ensures that the mission, vision and strategic objectives of the two Institutes are complementary and consistent.
The Institute of Business Consulting is governed by an elected and appointed Council of members. The Council is a Committee of the Board of Trustees of the Chartered Management Institute and the Institute of Business Consulting is represented on the Board by its Chairman.
The Council undertakes a strategic review in June each year, the outcomes of which contribute to the strategic discussions and development within the Board of the Chartered Management Institute.
For the purposes of local activity, the Institute of Business Consulting is divided into 12 regions, each administered by a committee of members. The Chairman of each Regional Committee is elected by members in the region.
