Continuing Professional Development
You've got experience under your belt, have a network of satisfied clients and have created value through your consulting interventions.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is an important way to ensure you are consistently competent in meeting the responsibilities required for your role. This requires an altogether more pragmatic approach to unlock and exceed your potential, provinding the best service to your clients. CPD has many differing facits ranging from attending events and reading articles to using our e-rosources and Body of Knowledge (BOK) or gaining qualifications.
One of the key challenges with CPD is finding the time to keep an up to date record of all the activities that you undertake that support your personal development. Our members typically attend events, read articles, take qualifications and do voluntary work throughout the year, often using the opportunities provided by the Institute.
Our Members only online CPD system is designed to provide you with a fast and efficient way of recording your CPD activities. Where you have used Institute products and services we will automatically capture details of those wherever possible so as to pre-populate your CPD record, enabling you to spend more time reflecting on the outcomes of your activities and their impact on your work. Simple “wizard” tools will guide you through the creation of new activities, for example those undertaken outside of the Institute, and our fast report generator makes it easy for you to demonstrate your commitment to your own personal development, for example at appraisal meetings or when looking for a new job.
Our self-assessment tests, based on the IBC competence framework for Management Consultants and Business Advisers, enable you to review your developmental needs and set objectives that can be reviewed over time.
