Peter is the Director of Buy Research Ltd. Peter has worked in purchasing with a number of public and private sector organisations. He specialises in the procurement of services and leading-edge technology. Also author of “Buying Knowledge – Effective Acquisition of External Knowledge” published by Gower in 2005.

Paul Vincent, CPSG Member (Deputy Chair)
Paul spent 24 years with BT plc across a diverse range of commercial and business transformation roles, including the remit of Global Procurement Director for BT’s Consultancy and Recruitment Services spend.  In March 2009 Paul left BT to set-up his own company, Insight Sourcing Solutions, focusing on helping organisations become more effective in how they buy or sell Professional Business Services.

Peter Walmsley, Immediate past-chair
Peter was brought in to the Home Office to lead the new Programme for Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), having previously established and managed the cross-department Consultancy Value Programme in OGC to ensure better value from consultancy spend.
  
Peter’s role involves the introduction of SRM processes and standards across the Home Office Group. His previous positions have included the creation of professional services procurement frameworks for OGCbuying.solutions and prior to that he held product development and marketing roles for high technology and consultancy organisations including Cable & Wireless, Nokia, Detica and Panasonic. His experience therefore spans all 3 roles as buyer, supplier and user of consultancy services.

Karen Hawkins, CPSG Member
Karen has 20 years procurement experience from both public and private sector orgnaisations.  Covering a wide range of goods and services from motor car manufacturing, petrochemical engineering construction, to people related services.

Rosalind Barbier, CPSG Member
Rosalind has gained significant national and international experience working as a procurement professional. She has worked within the transportation and financial services industry sectors and has built up a wide and in depth range of expertise across many categories of expenditure. Rosalind's current focus is on expenditure relating to Professional Services including Consulting, HR and Legal.
